Split PDF
Extract the pages you need from a PDF, or split it into several smaller files: by page ranges, every few pages, or one file per page. Click page previews to pick pages. Your PDF never leaves your device.
Click pages below or type numbers and ranges. “8-” means page 8 to the end.
How to split a PDF
- Drop your PDF onto the box above, or click to choose it. Page previews appear below.
- Pick how to split it:
- Extract pages: click the pages you want, or type them, to get one new PDF with just those pages.
- Split by ranges: type one range per file, such as
1-5, 6-10, 11-. - Every N pages: cut the PDF into equal parts, for example every 2 pages.
- Every page: save each page as its own PDF.
- Press Split PDF. One file downloads as a PDF; several come together in a ZIP.
Common reasons to split a PDF
- Send only the pages someone needs, such as the signature page of a contract.
- Get under an upload or email size limit by sending a large PDF in parts.
- Separate a scanned batch of documents into individual files.
- Pull one chapter out of a book, report or set of lecture notes.
- Remove pages you don’t need: extract everything except them.
Nothing is lost
Pages are copied exactly, with their text, images, fonts and links, so the new PDFs look the same as the original and text stays selectable and searchable. Your original file isn’t changed.
Private by design
The PDF is processed in your browser and never uploaded, which matters for contracts, medical records and bank statements. There’s no sign-up, watermark or limit.

Frequently asked questions
How do I extract pages from a PDF?
Drop your PDF above, choose Extract pages, then click the page previews you want or type them (for example 2-4, 7). Press Split PDF to download a new PDF with only those pages, in that order.
How do I split a PDF into separate files?
Choose Split by ranges and type one range per file, separated by commas (1-5, 6-10, 11-). Or choose Every N pages to cut it into equal parts, or Every page to save each page as its own PDF. Several files are downloaded together as a ZIP.
How do I save just one page of a PDF?
Choose Extract pages, click the page you want (or type its number) and press Split PDF. You get a one-page PDF.
Does splitting change the content?
No. Pages are copied exactly, with their text, images and links, so they look identical and text stays searchable.
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. Your PDFs are processed by your own browser on your device and never leave it, so contracts, bank statements, IDs and medical records stay private. The tool keeps working even if you go offline after the page has loaded.
Why won’t my PDF open?
Password-protected (encrypted) PDFs can’t be edited until the password is removed. Open the file in your PDF reader, enter the password and save or print a copy without protection, then try again. Damaged files may also fail to open.
Is it really free? Is there a watermark?
Yes, it is completely free with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. Very large files are limited only by your device’s memory.
